Debadged the hood, still a ghost image there

I finally removed the hood badge, but there is a ghost image of "Jeep" still there. I plan on claying in a week or so, do you think it will go away? If not I have the black letters that may go on if I can't get rid of it.

Yeah clay barring it should take it away. It did for mine anyway on a white hood.

I just used dental floss and Goo Gone (no heart) on any badges I have removed.

Same thing happened when i did mine on my 2005. Used goo gone to get the rest of the tape off and then a little wax/clay bar to get the outline off.

(no HEAT) ... I didn't use a heat gun, hairdryer, etc. Auto spell correction error.

I took the emblem off my lift gate. I had the ghost image there. I heated it up with a blow dryer and it came right off.

It's not like the image in the video. I got all the residue off. It is the paint that is a brighter white. I am going to try a compound next. After claying it is much harder to see, except I can still see it. If not I bought the black letters that can go in the place as that was my original intention.

Most of what you are seeing is the rest of the clear coat being weathered and what was under the logo not. If u have someone that can cut and buff the hood it will disappear.
