Decisions, decisions....

So I just swapped my 2011 20" rims for 2014 20" rims. My original plan was to keep the old 20s and add on dedicated snow tires. Now I'm just considering selling them....what would you do?

Re: Decisions, decisions....

I'd either keep them or fit winter tires.
If I lived where ice and snow were a problem, I'd probably go for dent protection and put dedicated winters on them unless there were some significant storage problem involved.

I'd go with dedicated snow tires if you live in an area that has snow on the roads often. Where are you located?

Re: Decisions, decisions....

Keep them. I sold my original wheels back when I got new wheels and almost immediately regretted it. So I went out and bought another used set for my spare set. Lesson learned

Depending on where you live, I know that I would for sure keep them and slap some dedicated winters, Blizzak's man!

Re: Decisions, decisions....

Keeping them and getting snows or A/T tires was my original plan. I live in NJ where winters are unpredictable.

Re: Decisions, decisions....

I'm a 6hrs drive North from ya, and found an extra set of 20's, mounted some Blizzak's and I would not trade this winter option...They just make the GC so much more aggressive in the snow and on ice, insane diff. Once you have driven in snow/icy conditions with some dedicated's, you just don't want to go back to stock...I am sure that many here that have winter t's would agree. So ya, keep them!

Re: Decisions, decisions....

Then the next question is AT or snow (blizzak) tires?

Re: Decisions, decisions....

If they will be used as dedicated winter tires...get winter tires, not ATs. Big difference!

Re: Decisions, decisions....

Again IMHO, if you want to put AT's, I would try to find someone that would want to exchange your 20's for 18's...this way you could off road as well with your AT's...and possibly be better then your stocks for winter... If you go dedicated winters, then use your spare 20's set... I don't off road at all, so winters were the best option for my use...

I like the look of AT tires but prefer the snow/ice traction of winter tires
