We decided to call ours "Ninja". It was the "The Ninja" I attempted to call it "Super Ninja" but "Ninja" Stuck. When I call my wife from the hands free while driving. I always say "Ninja says Hi"
We named ours "azucar moreno" (brown sugar) because my other half loves Celia Cruz! I named the Explorer Crayola Washington for all the colors in the ambient lighting and because I'm into politics.
When I was car shopping I briefly considered a Murano and a Pilot in addition to the Jeep. My girlfriend is in to naming cars, I have never really named one. When she saw the Murano she asked what I would name it. I jokingly said it would be Murray because I had no intention of naming the car. She loved it. Then when I looked at the Pilot she was all concerned about what I would name it. I only wanted the blue Pilot so I jokingly said it would be called Shamu because its friggan huge like a blue whale (yes I know Shamu is not a blue whale but I couldn't think of a famous blue whale). So when it came down to the Jeep she was like, well there is no cool name for the Jeep. I wanted a green Jeep. So I said, well we would call it Oli. She liked it but asked why. I said well it's green like a green olive. Which for some reason brings me to Oliver but we'd call him Oli for short. At the time I had just watched Wall-e on TV and it's important to say Oli like they say Wall-e in the movie. It's amazing how a name gives a car a personality.
My last two cars were named Betty and Betty Sue because the color was called "passion red". However I ended up with a brilliant black summit so I don't know what to name her...maybe Bettie Page?
We've named my friend's last three black cars Negra, Negra Sue, and Negra Jean.
