The Internet is full of a lot of things.
If the Internet is representative of the totality of our existence on this planet, we're in trouble.
Would it surprise you to know that a larger percentage of people coming to a forum are doing so because of a problem? That makes them a poor sample of the broader population.
When you include the rest of the population (Jeep WK2 diesel owners not on forums), you're going to find that most are happy and trouble free.
Further, the ones that have had trouble are getting fixes under warranty.
The 2015s, so far, look like they're going to be okay, but there's only a few months of experience. In those few months (and some put 10's of thousands of miles on their vehicles in that time), I've not seen any reports of the 2015s having the same emissions trouble as the 2014s.
Drive the diesel. If you like it, buy it. If you worry, buy an extended warranty. If you don't like it, buy a gasser. Pretty simple decision tree.
