I fully agree about the wheels. To be honest, I never even noticed the trim color; looking at pics now, I think it actually looks better on the limited. I've never been a fan of coordinating an entire vehicle in one color - I like some contrasting chrome, and in this case black against the white body color.

Re: Differences between the 2014 Limited and Overland

I have the cheaper Overland. It's fine...I am man enough to admit that I decked out a Limited with Luxury; ORA 2 and Advanced Tech and I came in cheaper. I could not care less for the leather dashboard and for the painted inner wheel arches. And I guess my mirrors do not fold automatically. Oh snap...I will soon be eligible for elbows replacement surgery between manually folding mirrors and reaching out for the ECO Fuel Economy button. But in terms of any remotely functional piece of equipment - I got everything that an Overland has, except the folding mirrors.

Re: Differences between the 2014 Limited and Overland

I hate wood and the wood feel; even my shotguns and rifles are bought with a synthetic stock.

I test drove an overland and I loathed the steering wheel. I am glad my steering wheel is leather. And no, at 4% under invoice, I paid less than you no matter how stellar your deal may have been.

Assume much buddies?? I don't know or care what any of you paid but your quote is just... wow.

I just love a true example of someone speaking with authority on something they know absolutely nothing about. I usually see this level of "expertise" when people are teaching professionals And just FYI there are several people here that won't post their % invoice discount as the average street buyer has no chance to negotiate ANYWHERE NEAR that low.

Hope you all are enjoying your new Jeep. This is my first Jeep and I have not been disappointed. Thanks to all for the detailed posts on the trim differences. There's a couple interesting mods I picked up on.

Re: Differences between the 2014 Limited and Overland

Glad you are enjoying this thread. My point is, having both the 2014 limited and overland I can see distinct differences between the two trim levels that otherwise wouldn't be captured on the jeep website that may sway someone's decision making process.

But, you missed important things because you based your 'tutorial' on what you have, without even knowing what was available. Based on your information, people could have made the wrong decision.

People with confidence in their pickles don't go into forums proclaiming with full vigor how much better their deal was than someone else's, and calling other peoples' rides "wannabees." Just sayin.

Re: Differences between the 2014 Limited and Overland

The ego issues in these forums amaze me sometimes. From guys bragging about how they'll floor the gas pedal on their car just so someone can't pass them on the highway, to rabidly defending a freakin' trim level as if it were their own child, it leaves me scratching my head. I guess like anything in life, insecurities manifest themselves in all sorts of ways.
