Digital Speedometer is Accurate

Thursday we took delivery on our ordered 2014 JGC Overland (with V8 and ORAII). Yesterday I drove the Jeep with my old Garmin Nuvi where I could see it to compare the Jeep's digital speed readout against the Nuvi reported speed. Result: Both agree as close as I could tell. So, the Jeep is displaying accurate speeds. Nice to know, especially since the combination of the Hemi and air suspension results in going faster than it feels like.

Re: Digital Speedometer is Accurate

You could have just sped through a radar trap. I'm sure when you go to court you could insist on the date the radar gun was calibrated. :-)

Re: Digital Speedometer is Accurate

Nice to know. There is usually a discrepancy, and to my knowledge the accuracy is allowed to vary up to 5%. You may find that as the tires wear the accuracy degrades.
