I had the sensitivity turned down on the shock sensor, and so far, no unintentional alarms. It's not the "potato-potato" sound of mufflered or even baffled pipes tat set it off...It's the "BRRRRAAAATTT!" sound from guys running straight pipes and under full throttle that shake the fillings loose in my teeth...and the windows in my Jeep.
Don't get me wrong...I kind of like the sound....but from a few hundred feet away!

Your'e at a service station, just filled up and your wife is in the car.
You lock the doors to go in and pay. (for her safety)
She moves (at all!) in side and the alarm goes nuts!!

The ultrasonic sensors in the overhead console capture everything when the doors are locked...

90% of the time, Fantastic! but the 10% when someone is in the car and it needs to be locked... What a pain in the ass!

I don't believe you'll hear any alarms if you leave the fob in the car. I'm not sure about any ultrasonic sensors, but if you leave the vehicle with it running and take the fob with you it will bitch with a beeper.

Re: Disabling 2014 Overland alarm... while locked

I recently travelled across the water to mainland Australia, my alarm went off due to choppy seas and I was made to leave the car unlocked. Is there a way to disarm the security alarm while leaving the car locked?
