I think it should still look great.. It's supposed to get to the dealer Thursday so hopefully it looks dark then lighter for the dk frost beige and I'll post up some pictures.

I got the black/beige overland. I think it looks sharp. The dark frost has more of a grey tint to me. I saw an inferno red overland with dark beige at the dealer...looked real nice. I typically always get black or grey in my cars...but this color combo was impressive. I personally like the darker carpet with beige seats. The wood grain and contrast in colors is a great match.. Floor doesnt get as dirty.

Well, you can't really see the exterior color from the inside, and you can't really see the interior colors from the outside, unless the doors are open

Actually, that's what I don't like about black interior carpeting... It always looks dirty. It shows every bit piece of fuzz, every bit of crusted road salt, and every streak of dried mud. Dirt is generally not 'black'.

A more neutral color like the 'dark biege' (which is essentially a 'taupe') is better because it doesn't contrast against whatever on it.

Looking at those pics, I'd say the WK2's "light frost / dark frost" beige seat/trim interior is almost the same as my '03 KJ Limited's "light taupe / taupe" interior. And probably looks really nice, as I always thought it looked nice on my Liberty. I wish the Limited WK2 wasn't, well, limited to black trim.

Re: Dk Frost/Lt Frost Beige Pictures, Has anyone seen it in person and/or have pictur

I have driven a Blackberry Limited with the Black/Lt Frost Beige interior and a White Overland with the Dark Frost/Lt Frost Beige. To me, the Limited combo looked very nice, but the Overland combo was MUCH nicer IMHO. In fact, I am torn as I have been holding off ordering an Overland. I have been set on the Saddle interior and wasn't wowed by the Dk/Lt frost in the pics...but after having seen and sat in the Dk/Lt frost Overland now I really can't decide. I REALLY liked it as well and it's a tough choice. The carpets are a dark brown looking color on the Overland version.

I love the idea of the Saddle leather but am not keen on the black dash/door panels/carpet. However my Dad had this combo in his '02 Lexus SC430 and it was VERY classy looking, really set off the car. On the other hand the Dk/Lt frost beige scares me about upkeep as my Mom has a '07 Escalade with the Cocoa/Cashmere interior and it is a real PITA to keep clean. Her car looks beautiful when it's clean, but the cashmere shows everything and when she wears jeans the blue dye has actually stained the seat bolster where she rubs getting in and out...at least Jeep put darker color carpets in as opposed to the Cadillac that has creme colored carpets also (we replaced the cashmere mats with dark blue to match the blue exterior and this was almost a necessity as the cashmere mats are impossible to keep from showing stains).

My '03 KJ has very light beige leather seats, pretty much the same color as the WK2's. Never have had a problem with blue jean die. Perhaps it has to do with the the type of leather - I can imagine a more luxury leather not having as much shellac in order to make it 'soft & supple'. Less shellac would be more prone to staining.

Also, as I stated a few posts ago, I hate dark carpet for the very fact that it seems to show everything on it. Admittedly, I've never owned black carpet, but have known people who did. Getting in their car, you would just see all the little pieces of dirt and fuzz contrasted against the black. My parents currently have a Trailblazer with black carpeting and it's always a mess. And very hard to get clean (I've helped detail it) - those little tiny grey stones and pieces of lint work themselves in the fiber and refuse to come out and stand out like stars against the night. At least with a neutral carpet, if they don't come out, you can't see them anyways. You seem to think the opposite; I guess we all have different experiences.

I was originally planning on a Limited WK2, but am starting to lean towards a Laredo with the grey interior because I so want to avoid the dark carpet. I really would like those vented seats, though.

Re: Dk Frost/Lt Frost Beige Pictures, Has anyone seen it in person and/or have pictur

Jeeters -

The light vs. dark carpet is really 6 in one, half a dozen in the other LOL. My first car had black carpets as does my Wranger and as did my Dad's Lexus with the Saddle leather and the Dark Blue mats in the Escalade. You're right, it does show EVERY little spec of sand, etc as soon as you vacuum it. However it's a matter of just taking the mats out and shaking them or quickly vacuuming them and they look pretty good. However I have 4 other cars with beige/tan/grey carpets and I spend SO much time cleaning them with carpet cleaner or even having them professionally steam cleaned once in a while as they show EVERY stain. From a pure aesthetic standpoint I love light colored interiors (I HATE black interiors personally, just a preference)...but from a maintenance/upkeep standpoint the dark/black colors have their plusses

The best color so far is the Steel Blue/Grey mats in my Solstice...they are almost a berber style so between the texture and the color they hide both the dirt AND the stains

And yes, I agree that the staining does have something to do with the quality of the leather. The leather in my Envoy is "Light Oak" but it's not a great quality leather and is very smooth/shiny as is the "Light Pewter" in the Corvette...I rarely have an issue with them staining/dying the color and if so it almost always comes off with leather cleaner or Simple Green and some leather conditioner. However the leather in the Escalade is much nicer, softer and more supple (I can't remember the kind of leather but the Cadillacs even come with tags hanging on the seats bragging about the premium leather) and as such it does seem to be more susceptible to staining...I've also noticed this in my Dad's Caddy XLR as well as a couple of BMW's.
