But so far, I don't see anything abnormal. Lead time is currently 7-9 weeks.
I did. Hasn't gotten to paint yet. Don't know if it's even gotten off a piece of paper to production yet.

Re: Do custom orders normally take this long?

It's not on a piece of paper. It's in a database.

Also, I must add, 7-9 weeks is the *average*.

I've seen people get their Jeeps in 4 weeks on this site.

I've also seen people get theirs in 12-14.

So much emphasis is placed on D1 status on here. I don't know why, it doesn't exist until "E". Once it reaches E status, then start scrambling and wondering where it is, why it's there, why it's been there so long, and when the heck is it gonna come off the truck?!

I've seen people's Jeeps stay in F (Paint) status for a month!!!!

Re: Do custom orders normally take this long?

I just took a look at my order sheet from the dealership and it says priority status 99! Im hoping he fixed it and I just have an old copy. Either way, im calling the dealership to get to the bottom of it. If it was left as 99 it might have tacked on extra weeks onto this build

Re: Do custom orders normally take this long?

Mine took 8 full weeks, and the dealer said 4-6. Heck, I am only 30 miles from the assembly plant.

On the bright side, I got the Luxury 2 package for free.

I just got off the phone with Jeep Customer Care. They confirmed that it was Build Priority 1. They said "They are gathering all the parts for it now but it hasnt begun production yet".

I dont know what makes my jeep unique for taking so long when others who placed orders later than I did already have scheduled delivery dates

The vehicle already has its VIN. It's had it for almost two weeks now. I'm beginning to think the HK is the culprit, but I'm basing that off of zero information. I need to dig further.

The HK system better be worth it!
Well, the HK should allow you to hear this better:

Re: Do custom orders normally take this long?

If it means anything I waited 16 weeks in 2011 when I ordered mine. Got held up in quality control.
