About 4-5,000 bucks. So if the QL doesn't get me much then I might as well go with the limited.

If you are comparing a basic Limited to an Overland, the price difference might seem large. But if you are going to put some options in the Limited, there's a difference, but not close to what you are thinking.

I'm not trying to sell you on either, but take a close look at what you get in one, and what is an option in the other.

Re: Do I want quadra lift?

Apparently it gives a smoother ride too and I'm very pleased with the ride but I've never driven the others to compare.
That said, my Jeep has been in the shop for 5 weeks due to the QL failure, took two weeks to find the leak and another two weeks to get the parts.
But, I still love this Jeep so much.

The 2011 limited is pretty much optioned out with 45k miles and they are asking around 30k. Most of the 2011 overlands with about the same mileage are listed around 34-35.

All hemi, 4x4.

I didn't realize you were shppoing used. Based on what you are seeing, the Limited looks like a good choice. Just double check all the options so you don't kick yourself down the road. Best of luck to you.

Re: Do I want quadra lift?

Quadralift is great, it rides MUCH better than the steel springs IMO. Plus it will level itself for if you intend to tow. I love it in my Overland.

Do yourself a favor and buy any flavor of a '14 you can afford. It's night and day difference

Re: Do I want quadra lift?

I'm not going to lie, the Quadra Lift is probably one of the coolest features I've ever had in a vehicle next to heated seats lol. Yea, it's not for hard core offroading, but there are plenty of people who take them off road and show how trail worthy they are. As long as you don't plan on riding the trails in the ORII setting, you would be fine. The ORI setting lets you get up to around 45mph and it offers enough lift without sacrificing too much suspension travel.

Once you get past the awkwardness of having a dynamic suspension, it's pretty useable.

Re: Do I want quadra lift?

I'm with Lysol on this...I really appreciate QL for all that it adds to my GC. It's very kewel how it rebalances things when passengers get in or out or when I'm towing. The Aero mode feels nice at highway speeds and I do a LOT of highway driving. And the "park" mode is essential for folks who are physically challenged to access the vehicle, such as my elderly parents. Frankly, my wife appreciates that, too, and I've gotten into the habit of hitting the button as I pull in the driveway for that reason.

While I don't do off-road stuff, the fact that you can have "optimized" ride height with more than one choice is nice and something you don't get with a standard lift kit.

That said, an opportunity to acquire a clean, used vehicle that will meet your needs is nice and you do have the option of lifting if you want to if it doesn't have QL.
