Re: Does your dealer wash your Jeep?

I always bring mine in clean. I figure maybe they'll do a better job.

Re: Does your dealer wash your Jeep?

Sounds like your going to be in for a bumpy ride in the future if a car wash after a non existent problem is a concern.

Re: Does your dealer wash your Jeep?

My dealer has a drive through car wash that I can use at any time free of charge if Im in for service or not. I perfer not to for the simple fact that I care for my paint finish too much. Brush car washes are probably one of the worst things you can do to your finish. Id much rather do it myself. I will however help myself to the free drinks and snacks they offer....

The dealer I take mine to will wash it, but I ask them not to. My prior vehicle was Jet Black in color, the dealer didn't use microfiber to dry it off which resulted in a bad case of the "spiderweb" effect.

I wouldn't want them to wash mine. The Mexicans are to careless and swirl the crap out of cars.

Doesn't matter who's washing it, they are all stupid enough to put swirls on our cars. Don't need to single out a particular group.

Re: Does your dealer wash your Jeep?

The dealer I used to go to stopped washing cars supposedly in order to conserve water, or more likely their water bill. I never had them wash it anyway. When they used to wash cars they never dried them and if you asked them to vacuum your car they said they did not even have a vacuum to do it. The new dealer I go to I am sure they do wash it, but being that my Jeep is new I have not had it in for anything yet to find out. I was offered a free detail when I bought my WK2 though. Not sure what a "detail" entails from the dealer.

Re: Does your dealer wash your Jeep?

I wash mine the night before it goes in to discourage them from even trying.

Re: Does your dealer wash your Jeep?

Volvo dealer washes my S40 with each service...don't have issues with that but I do avoid the free annual detailing service. Had that done once and they left wheel cleaner on my rims...

Current Jeep dealer that I go into service for doesn't do anything and that's fine by me. Our GC already has swirls from when the selling dealership cleaned it.
