Same back story as the original poster, but my lust for the WK2 started in April 2009 with the rollout at the New York Auto show! I too waited to order my Overland with all the extras, and picked up the lifetime warranty to cover all the great stuff in this vehicle. I took delivery of my custom order Grand Cherokee in December 2010.
No issues and nothing but good experiences since. People who appreciate cars love this Jeep. After 17K miles the only wish is for more vacation time.
