I finally took delivery of my 14 CRD today, great looking and driving vehicle. While at the dealership I noticed that the rear edge of one of the doors was a few mm further out than the body. Also saw one of the tail lights has a gap at the top. Tail light fix isn't a big issue I'm sure. My question is, is having the door re-aligned by a few mm worth it? In order to accomplish that the door has to be removed, right? Will removing the door break any kind of paint "seal" from when the body was painted? Not sure if the hinges are on the body when it gets painted.
I had this on my jeep on the front passenger door. The dealer body shop just adjusted the door strike it took ten minutes and is perfect now. I stood there while he did it.
