Drive Mode Inop after Powertrain Control Module Update

If I use paddle shifters and then slap shifter to get back to drive mode it will only go to sport mode(yes I know that you have to slap it two times to get back to drive). I slap it a second time(now in sport mode) and it goes back to manual mode!?!?! After turning vehicle off and restarting its back in drive mode!?!?!

Took in for service, tech says he drove it for 5 miles and had no problem!?!?! Well I have a problem cause it fails all the time, every time I try it

Anyone else with similar problems? BTW, after the upgrade tranny shifts great(in drive mode, when it works)

Huh, I never tried using the shifter to get out of manual mode..

I get out of manual mode by holding the + paddle like the owner's manual says...

Owners manual!?!? LOL, I gotta try that sometime! I don't know how or why but I've always bumped the shifter back two times(1st time goes to sport mode) to get back to drive. Maybe upgrade did away with this function.
