DRL functionality

Just picked up my 2014 Limited 4x4 this morning, and I had a question about the DRLs. Mine has the luxury grp, so we have the bi-xenon's with DRLs. Are the DRLs supposed to be on anytime the car is on, or is it only when the car is in gear? My DRLs don't turn on if I have the headlights in the Auto setting, but they do turn on if I turn the headlight control to the ON position. Anybody know if this is correct, and if not how they should be working?

I love the look of the DRLs and so I want them on all the time.

Re: DRL functionality

In auto mode with the headlights off the DRL's only come on when you aren't in Park.

Re: DRL functionality

If you turn the dial over to the middle position, it will keep your DRL's on the entire time, even while in park (it just dims them). Same with signaling, the DRL's will stay on with a dimming effect.
