Anything that makes my vehicle more visible I'm a fan of. I don't want to turn the lights on and off all the time, deal with panel dimming, etc. I was just used to DRLs and wanted DRLs.

mot250 is on a distinguished road
I'm on the other side of te fence on DRLs. I didnt want them but erroneously figured i could disable them via the EVIC as i could on my 05 limited, 09 Challenger and 09 Town And Country. But nope. You can read my reasons I think DRLs are a waste by searching on othe DRL treads on the forum. No need for me to re-hash them again in this tread.

Things did change between 2011 and 2012. In 2011, it was possible, from what I read on these forums, to have a dealer tech disable the DRLs on DRL equipped JGC Limiteds and Overlands using a Scantron type scan tool. This is no longer possible on the 2012s.

Or at least that is what dealer service techs are telling 2012 owners.

So it is possible that Chrysler is simply instructing them not to mess with the DRL feature but if that was the case I'd think it would have leaked by know that they could be disabled without owner's yanking the fuses.

Dealer turned on my DRL's today on my Laredo. Charged me 50 bucks though because they had to go in and put it in the computer. Was told that changing the country code could cause issues with warranty claims and such since the vehicle would be under a different country. Will see if it works tomorrow.

Just curious...
Which lights come on as the DRLs?
My Subaru used the high beams with lower power.
Thanks.

I think they are the low beams, not exactly sure though.
