Dual Pane Pano Roof--Need Info

Could someone who has the dual pane pano roof do me a favor and measure how much it actually opens. I know the single pane opens about 13 inches. Does the dual pane open any more than that? I believe it is only the front pane that opens but does it open more than the single pane? Need to know regarding a possible purchase. Thanks in advance.

only the single pane opens... a size opening similar to a normal sun roof. The back glass is fixed... I like it though because it helps with the open air feeling.

I had the regular sunroof in the 2011, and now have the panoramic roof in the 2014. The roof in the 2014 definitely opens farther.

Re: Dual Pane Pano Roof--Need Info

If anyone can take a measurement it would be appreciated. Possibly upgrading the 2008 GC which has the regular roof. The open area measures 13 in. from inside the car. Would like a comparison. Would only go for the dual pane (Lux II) if there was a significant difference in how much it opens. Thanks.

Re: Dual Pane Pano Roof--Need Info

The opening....WITHOUT pressing on the rubber gasket which would make it a bit bigger....is exactly 17.25" from front headliner to front of rubber gasket on the glass. Hope that helps!
