Re: Dumb Grand Cherokee Move of the Day
Well, it wasn't with my GC, but I once backed into my garage with the trailer ball still installed on the back of my F150.
Why would that be a problem?
Well, the garage is only 9 inches longer than the truck. So, normally, when I would back in until my rear wheels touch the raised portion of the floor at the back of the garage, it leaves about an inch of space to the wall and 8 inches for me to squeeze around the front bumper when the door is closed.
Needless to say, I stabbed my back wall with the trailer ball, poking a whole in it after only freshly painting it a month or so before.
Thankfully, no damage to anything that wasn't easily hidden by a fresh patch of drywall and some spackle.
I'm glad the GC is much shorter, so I can not only pull in forward, but also have plenty of space to the front and rear. My only issue is, I have to be sure the back gate is down when opening or closing the overhead door. The door clears, but the triangular shaped metal bracket that attaches the door to the closer won't. It would make a furrow down the middle of the back gate big enough to plant corn in it.
