I could not find it in the owners manual,
but what is the red steering wheel icon next to the gas light.

Missing keys?

Wow, that's a good one! I can't find it in the OM, it doesn't show in the instrument cluster breakdown. I'm sure it's a warning about the steering, but could only guess what it means. Hope someone can enlighten us.

Maybe something to do with the heated steering wheel or maybe a malfunction with the paddle shifters? I don't know, just throwing it out there.

The V6 has a hydraulic power steering system powered by an electric motor driven hydraulic pump and the V8 has a hydraulic system powered by a belt driven mechanical hydraulic pump. It's not electronic power steering and its not electronic assisted. The only difference between the two systems is one uses an electric hydraulic pump and one uses a mechanical hydraulic pump. Electric does not equal electronic. Summit 2012 has it right in post #15.

This is funny. Reminds me of Mark Twain's "“It's not what you don't know that kills you, it's what you know for sure that ain't true.”.

All WK2s at present have hydraulic power steering. Period. All have a hydraulic pump. It is how the pump is driven (electric motor, engine belt) that is different.

If you want to divide rabbits, they are all hydraulically assisted since if they go ker blooey you can still change the steering angle.
