As of October they had not "certified" flex fuel pentastars for California and 7 "carb states" emissions requirements... BUT look at the emissions sticker under the hood. it will read whether it is flex or just gasoline or not. Dealers in the "Carb States" like Maryland may get vehicles on exchanges from dealers in other states, like Virginia. Those are labeled flex fuel and have the yellow cap.
It's was just that Chrysler could not ship to carb states.

Hmm, I live in MD but plan to take delivery on a unit in PA. I thought that the lack of a front plate was my only state-specific issue, do I need to be concerned about this if I only plan to run regular fuel in it? I need to look into this.

Certification of Flex emission standards has been passed on pentastar at beginning of November, and plan was to start officially lableing it starting with vehicles manufactured at the end of November
