Even if it's within 10% I would be happy. Now of course it sounds like having ECO mode off makes the GC a little more fun to drive.
At 70 to 75mph I'm getting between 23 to 24 MPG at 65mph 25+. Around town eco on, city/ hiway combined about 21.

Re: ECO mode question

I always leave it on, except when I want the extra boast I just push the shifter south to activate sport mode and the put it back into eco. I only use sport mode when someone tries to squeeze in front of me. I like to leave safe distance between myself and other drivers. I'm averaging 20MPG with the V6 and I do 75% city/local driving.

Re: ECO mode question

Left mine like that from the dealers and 1k later, shifts are SOOOO smooth, and averaging 24.4 with all sorts of driving conditions (groceries, commute, and pleasure). Oh,, did I say that this transmission is so smooth...

Was this person someone who works with cars?

I turn mine off before I get out of my driveway. Sometimes I forget and I'm quickly reminded by the agonizing lugging. I wish there was a way to have it off by default.

No just the service adviser. He also mentioned that he gets a lot of complaints / questions about the shifting issues. He recommended turning ECO off in city driving. I guess that's the easy way out! I will say after the updates it is shifting much better.

Re: ECO mode question

Keeping my fingers crossed, December flash tranny update fixed 95% of the shifting issues for me.

I do pretty much the same on mine. Rarely do I ever turn ECO off, just put it to Sport and fly (more so to fire calls). Shifts are smooth on mine and I don't have an issue accelerating in ECO when need be.

Re: ECO mode question

I wish they would give us an option to set Eco mode to be off at start via the options page on Uconnect.

Re: ECO mode question

I suspect the vehicle has to default to the state that it was in when it was tested and achieved its certified EPA ratings. Don't you love when big brother decides for us?

I will never buy a new car again if they continue.

Our experience as well. ECO is perfectly fine. Shifts smooth and no lugging.
