How is it that you actually know what Tijuana whore smells like? Curiosity is getting the better of me....

The pre-inspection tear-down was $9734.63, including a frame straightening if it's out of alignment. I recall the dealer saying no more than 3mm. Her discount car insurance said it should cost $3747.11, to reuse old parts, pull out the dents and use body filler where needed, buff out the scratches - when I found out they were trying to discount my repair, I was more than a little irritated.

I was just presuming.
It was a combination of cigarette smoke, stripper BO, perfume, vomit, with a touch of donkey. So if you add them all up...

Re: EcoDiesel got rear-ended this afternoon....

So just to update: repair damage came in at just shy of $10,000. Replacing damaged parts with all new, no "body filler". The receiver hitch took the brunt of the impact damage and was mangled in a couple spots. Basically, the opposing car drove under me, instead of into me.

How are all the body lines? Doors, fenders, hood and tailgate and the roof? If any of them are out of whack I would want to see it on a frame machine and checked before they go much further.
Also make sure the hitch is replaced with a new one, it did its job and then some.

Everything is getting replaced. I had the left rear door off slightly, and the right front hood/fender was misaligned. Was reassured they were going to be addressed. Now into the 3rd week without my Jeep.

The posted speed limit was 45mph. From law enforcement, "speed was probably higher at point of impact".

Re: EcoDiesel got rear-ended this afternoon....

OEM parts AND premium prices - paint, prep and repair done by 3rd graders. And while were on the subject - when the body trim badges were all satin gray, why would you replace with chrome? Work order states NEW OEM replacement parts used, but original parts were just reapplied with new adhesive? Rear spoiler edge had the wonderful feeling of sandpaper. Interior trim did not line up - two pieces refused to seat in the factory groves. Did not wash the exterior, or vacuum the interior - nice fine layer of dust across the interior and the distinct aroma of body filler. Conveniently the body shop manager was off today(Saturday, so stands to reason). I refused acceptance of repairs performed. Deal with the BS on Monday.
