WTH? I was in yesterday for no less than six updates... They did 21-004-15 (harsh downshift) but not 21-003-15? Seriously I should NOT have to ask if it is a known problem.

EDIT: well after reading the update I received it seems I have the ECO update too. I will have to see if it works now....

You've got the 3.6l engine?
Let us know if this solved the ECO button default issue.
That button should be linked directly to the oil price, barrel goes up > button defaults to ON :-)

I would prefer the Eco light stay on, but not change anything with the shift points. This will allow me to have a wonderfully oblivious placebo affect and still have a smooth shifting vehicle :-)

I'm surprised the eco-nannies in the US even allowed the concept of retaining a non-eco position.

Perhaps there is hope for the human race yet... for those who can't just shift from reverse to forward twice to turn it off...

Re: Economy Mode button, hate the default?!

Mine was at the dealer today for an oil change and the P-36 recall and they did this tsb 21-003-15 for the transmission without me even asking. It still defaults to eco on a restart.

Hmm, let's see if TSB 21-004-15 for the 3.6l does anything...

Re: Economy Mode button, hate the default?!

So i think i will go in tomorrow for oil change and have them perform this TSB along with steering module. For those who have the RAX JB, do you recommend i do the roll back or just un-install RAX?

Re: Economy Mode button, hate the default?!

all the TSB's applied to my truck on 1/23 didn't include the remember eco button status. Honestly, after getting the update, I don't see why it matters. The improvements in low gear shifting and responsiveness are so great that I don't need to be in sport mode anymore. Pulling onto the highway and punching it used to be a scary experience, but now I can confidently throttle up and the transmission instantly responds to my needs.

I unfortunately can not answer your question directly on the RAX JB, but am curious how you like it and what functionality it brought you? I am in the U.S. so the SRT option is a no go for me. Not sure if there is value in getting this? Sorry for highjacking the thread.....

It's feeaking awesome. Still has room for improvement but that's another topic. So mainly I use it for the in motion lockout and occasionally for video feed. Works like a charm. I am still pending install of the front cam. I know others may provide more feedback and experiance with it. In going on month 2 of owning RAX.
