Effect of dropping tyre pressure on TPMS

Hi,

For driving on heavy sand I normally drop my vehicle's tire pressure to about 1.5 bar (22 psi).
This is lower than the low pressure warning level of about 1.9 bar (28 psi).

Can the TPMS system be set to allow for this lower pressure or can it be de-activated for driving under heavy sand conditions?

Regards

Not to my knowledge.

Your best bet is to just ignore the TPMS sensors. They only beep when you first start the car, so it should be bearable.

Re: Effect of dropping tyre pressure on TPMS

AFAIK, you cannot override or change the TPMS lower limit warning.

The first couple of times on the beach it was annoying. Now, I don't even notice it.
