Does anyone know the actual difference between NAE California emissions and NAS 50 state emissions?
These codes are from Chrysler build sheets.
What actual parts and or computer code differentiates one from the other?
Some say the only difference is the underhood sticker. I've read Federal(NAS) or 50 state emissions are randomly checked every 20~30 vehicles off a production line while every
California (NAE) rated vehicle must be checked and meet the NAE standard off the production line. Do they have different parts or is the difference only found in computer tuning? Is there a difference in performance between the two??
Any input would be appreciated.
