EVIC Tire Pressure Reading, 5.7 oil change cover

When I took delivery a couple days ago, the EVIC tire pressure display says each tire has 42 psi. When I checked it the day after delivery, it still said 42 psi. I checked it with my accurate tire pressure gauge and there is 39 psi in each tire. I lowered each tire to 38 psi and yet the EVIC shows each tire still has 42 psi in them.

I haven't driven the car yet so will the EVIC reset once the car is driven again?

Also I noticed the opening underneath the car to change the oil & filter on the 5.7 engine. Looks like it might be missing or is there supposed to be a cover in place?

Re: EVIC Tire Pressure Reading, 5.7 oil change cover

Hello...the tire pressure will settle down once you drive it . It took mine about 5 min. As to the hole in the bottom engine cover ..ya.... Hole suppose to be there...

Cheers !!!

Still think the tire pressure (cold) is too high. Check the label inside the drivers door frame. I have the factory 18's and 33 psi is normal.
