Yup, I detest Ford and Toyota's. Otherwise I am open to just about any brand.

Personally, I think the EXP looks better than it ever has. Still, the GC is much better looking and, yes, the Durango is a much better comparison. Durango is very nice looking.

Agreed. The exterior is very well done, I just hate Ford interiors....they just always have a lot of odds things going on. I love the new durango from the front and sides, but the back I am not so crazy about. Plus the dash doesn't look as nice coming from the WKII.

Re: Explorer vs Jeep

I'm still shocked there is only the V6 option and it's built on a modified/strengthened Taurus platform. Then to test it, they take it Dubai in sand. Not the Northern climate which is more like Northern North America. More are sold in the USA/Canada then the UAE...lol.

i agree, i cant STAND ford. service issues, warranty issues, i was even told kool-aid broke the latch of a rear seat belt that was written up as being defective at the time of purchase. i wont even let a ford park in my driveway. they are made in mexico and canada. canada doesnt bother me as bad, but i cant stand mexico either!

? The last 3 Fords I bought were made assembled in Kansas City, MO and then Dearborn, MI. One is clost to Canada but not quite there.

And in my case, I have been having more troubles with my Jeep then I did in my last 3 Fords (all of which where bought new 2007 F150 FX4 reg cab, 2010 FX4 Crew Cab, 2010 F150 SVT Raptor).

Re: Explorer vs Jeep

ford is just complete crap end of story the only reason they didnt need a bail out is bc they sold their sub brands for a fraction of what they paid for them. Just about every brand that was apart of them becides volvo is crap.

Did your aversion to Mexico play a part in not buying a Hemi? Just curious.

that made me chuckle. no i wish i had bought the hemi some days, but happy with the v6. I would still hate the Ford brand no matter where they are made. they killed any possiblity of me buying another one in 2006. i dont care how "good" they are now, i don't care to look at them.

Re: Explorer vs Jeep

I don't even see how someone could compare a Ford to a Jeep. A Jeep is so far superior. Especially an Explorer... I can't stand Fords...
