Just remember with Maxcare lifetime, the rental car/trip interruption/roadside assistance is covered only for 7/100 from Jeep inservice date.

The very reason to get it at or near purchase if your dealer does not have free loaners.

I just got a warranty on my 2015 GC gas as well from Clay. 5yr/100K 100$ deductible $1330. Clay is great to work with. Fast etc. The warranty showed up on my Jeep Dashboard an hour after I gave him my credit card number too.

Can anyone who has used their plan confirm that the deductible is applied to each visit in which you have something fixed, not to each repair? For example, if I have an exhaust problem, an electrical problem and a brake problem, that would be just one $100 deductible not three if I had them all addressed in the same trip.

Thanks!

Correct it is per visit not per issue. Which is good however when your vehicle gets older be careful not to come in with a list 10 expensive things wrong where the value of all those repairs exceeds the value of the vehicle. In that case they would cut you a check for the value of the vehicle and you would not have a service contract going forward.

Re: extended warranty queston

I'm a new member and new 2015 GC Limited owner. I can't thank everyone enough for the max care information I was made aware of through this forum. When I bought my GC two weeks ago I barely knew max care existed. I only knew enough to ask for it. Dealer wanted $3,400 which I agreed to.

Several days after vehicle and warranty purchase I spent time in this forum and realized I could do better. I requested internet dealer quote and was offered same lifetime policy for $2,550 with $200 deductible. I contacted dealer and requested price match or cancellation. After some back and forth they countered with $2,850 / $100 deductible. I agreed to that as I value relationships and service. I also got a great deal on the jeep so a few bucks more wasn't too hard to accept. Just my two cents.

Re: extended warranty queston

Hello all, new to the forum. My wife and I just bought a 2016 Summit about 2 weeks ago and are absolutely loving it so far. We normally keep cars until the warranty runs out or we outgrow it (amazingly car seats do not fit in every SUV, regardless of exterior dimensions). What scares me about the JGC is all the electronics that are there to fail. I read through a sample MaxCare service contract and I did not see any references to the blind spot monitoring, ACC, or other safety electronics being covered. Has anybody had any experience with getting repairs covered for any of the non-standard electronics?

I'd like to think that we would keep this car for 150k+ miles if we knew that the warranty would cover any failures not caused by us.

Welcome! MaxCare specifically says it covers everything except what is says it doesn't.

Those electronics are all covered with the maxcare, things that are not covered are things like your seat upholstery, paint, trim or maintenance items like brake pads, rotors. Maxcare covers most all of the Mechanical and Electrical.

Re: extended warranty queston

This is one of the beautiful things about the MaxCare service contract...it's fully inclusive of everything not specifically called out as exempted. That makes for less legal language and an easier to understand contract. The fact that it's available not just for specified time/miles and can be for "lifetime" (as defined in the contract) also makes it a rare opportunity, especially for folks who keep vehicles for a long time or like me, put on many more miles that the average driver. (Lifetime isn't available on the EcoDiesel, but there is a long-term version that gets it out pretty far anyway)
