I'm probably just going to piss myself off by asking this question, but is there any reason why my factory delivered Jeep would have 12 miles on it when it was delivered to me? Do they put miles on at the factory? I didn't mention it to my dealer yet.
If it helps, I had 25+ miles on mine at delivery. I knew it would have more then "normal" when mine was "held" for inspection ( Milous' tracking). Yes I was concerned, but have been 98% trouble free.
Your dealer may have taken it to a gas station to fill up too. I guess just give it a good inspection and make sure the odometer paperwork is correct on the day of signing/ delivery.
Good luck
p.s. Now if you turn on the radio and its already cranked to music you don't like...I got over that ( but was very concerned - visions of joy riding by some one else).
Mine had 35. It was held ( along time) for "100% quality inspection". I was NOT happy, but there was not much I could do. Other than the initial problem with a damaged DEF line, it has been good.
I didn't even custom order mine but purchased my 2014 the day my dealer received their first two (was there for service on my 2005 didn't even know they'd have a 2014 in Feb 2013.) It had 1.7 miles prior to my test drive...
If you look at your paper work it should state miles at time of sale and that should be added too your warranty.
So if you had a 50,000ml. warranty it would be over at 50,012ml. etc.
From what I understand, if it had this label on the drivers window, that would explain the extra miles. If not, then someone was joyriding in it. Mine had this label and had 35 miles on it when I picked it up. Never could get a straight answer from Jeep as to what the "Quality Assurance Test" was comprised of. No doubt just an excuse for someone to take the vehicle on a test ride around Detroit to pick up lunch.
