Do you think this is fixable without having to repaint that panel? I have a detailer friend, who hasn't seen it yet, say it should be fixable without any major work. Your opinions?

Thanks!
I noticed 2 similar or maybe smaller "pimples" on my JGC while I was detailing it last week, haven't noticed them since I got it 5 months ago!! maybe because it was squeaky clean that day and I was inspecting every inch of the paint while applying Opti-Coat... I thought it's something in the paint under the clear coat not the panel body itself because it's very tiny and I cant feel it when I touch the paint! anyway I just ignored it and try not look/search for it I don't want the dealer to try anything on it specially after I finished the coating and all the clean up/prep work I've done.

Does it look like the paint is an issue or the metal? I have an issue with two spots on the car that it looks like the paint separated from the rig (almost like it bubbled) . Already brought it to jeep and they are going to repaint the imperfections..

Re: Factory Panel Defect

Mine was the metal. The paintless dent removal guy took care of it.

Re: Factory Panel Defect

I have exactly the same defect on my 12 Jeep as 14summit has pictured on the hood (driver's side). It is only noticeable from an angle when it is sunny outside and the jeep is clean. I did not see it until after few months after purchase. I tried to polish it out but it did not go away. I refuse to let the dealership touch for the fear of them making it worse.

I kept my standards low when I bought the Jeep.... unlike my other car purchases. LOL. I am okay with all the minor defects/quality issues because it is a Jeep....

Cheers,
-A
