wk2overland is just really nice
Re: Features

it sure does. can be done with your fingers! it reveals a spot to put the key fob in, just like a MB without pushbutton.
Also, features wise, the ventilated seats is what sold me.
i've come from a long line of X5s, like 4 of them, and this is my first jeep (other than my toy, the TJ). i could have paid almost literally twice as much for a comparably powered, and optioned X5. The choice was logical.

I've also owned a couple of X5s along with many 3-series, and love German engineering. However, it's nice to buy a quality American SUV again, and the factory remote start will be awesome!

I debated for a long time about installing an aftermarket remote start in my last X5, but was really leery of local installers messing up the electrical system.

Also, as you pointed out; a new X5 optioned similarly to a Hemi GC Overland would easily run $70K+. I'll pass, thank you very much!!

Other than that, he could have probably driven 'til there wasn't any more gas; as long as he didn't shut it off.
This has been my experience as well. I wanted to test the system and was able to drive around the block. I was also able to completely confuse the system. If you have both fobs in the vehical it's a tossup wich one the systems uses to authenticate and start the engine. My wife got out with the authenticated fob and the evic started yelling at me that the key left the vehical even though I still had my fob in my pocket, Had to shut off the engine and restart before it recognized my fob. I've also noticed that if the fob is in my left pants pocket it sometimes is not found by the system. Kinda a nuisence since thats where I usually keep my keys.

Even with all that the keyless/pushbutton system, pano sunroof, alpine sound system, selec trac, and the power of the hemi make up my top 5. Hard to pinpoint my favorite. I think it depends on my mood at any given time.

Re: Features

turn it off. then hit the button but do not put your foot on the break. This will make it go into accessory without starting the engine

Re: Features

Thanks, omitted the post and read it in the User's Guide before seeing your answer. Nice feature, and also nice that it defeats itself in 30 minutes.
