Re: Finally bought one

I read somewhere that you get some extra features if you activate the NAV at the dealer, but I could be wrong. I bought mine with the 8.4AN. I also read that it costs around $600 to activate the Navigation. If you haven't signed the paperwork yet, you might be able to negotiate for a little lower price.

Personally, I like the navigation in the Jeep, especially the ability to see upcoming turns in the driver's console (have to turn it on in the Nav settings), where the speedometer is displayed.

Ya, I think I might try to get them to throw it in at the last minute. I have Nav in my car now, and even though its an older map package, I still use it all the time.

Re: Finally bought one

Sounds like you did pretty good. I ordered my JGC Overland at invoice - couldn't get the local dealer below that figure and it was 2-3 hours to the next dealer. I know I could have saved maybe a grand or two at most but I'm thinking it best that I have good local service. Congrats and good luck.

Re: Finally bought one

Thanks for all the input guys. Everything is really helpful so far. I should be picking it up in the next day or 2. I'll be sure to update this thread with my first pictures.

If anyone has any other pointers, feel free to share.

Re: Finally bought one

So I didnt endup picking it up until saturday morning because the detailing shop was too busy. I was pretty upset about that. I went to go pick it up and it was covered in dirt and bird droppings. I refused to sign off until it was clean, which ended up being saturday morning. Anyways, looks great now!!

1 question. Did anyone else notice the rear handle on their jeap looks like its popped out? mine does, and it looks like it has tool marks as if someone was trying to pry it out. The dealer said they will look into changing it for me. Any thoughts?

Mine doesn't but if you do a search it has been mentioned in a few threads.

Nice looking Jeep. Good luck with it.

Re: Finally bought one

There's an official Jeep fix for the liftgate handle problem. Have your dealer correct it.

Nice colour. Which dealership did you deal with, if I may ask?!
