Thanks for the tip, I just re-financed my '06 for 2.99% and saved almost $40 per month

Re: Financing rates?

I ended up getting 2.5% from my dealer tonight. They used a local bank for their financing.

Re: Financing rates?

Put 32k down, financed 12k at 1.9% for 3 years thru Chrysler (Ally Bank). Don't like owing lots of money with interest. I feel that the on time payments on the 12k (without high balance) keep my credit score climbing up.

Re: Financing rates?

I am 24 and have a 785 score. Jeep gave me 2.9 for 48 months on mine. It was the 1.9 for 36, 2.9 for 48, or 3.9 for 60. I chose 2.9 for 48 and am very happy.

Re: Financing rates?

Also paying cash for everything is a dumb idea. Whoever says this has no idea how to bank wisely. After my trade in my payoff is to the amount where i will only have $1200 in interest once payed off over 4 years. In that time I can use that amount of money and invest it (which I have) at a higher rate than my interest losses. Therefor I am MAKING more money than I am losing, while at the same time keeping my score high and building a strong credit history. You may not agree but I challenge you to find many 24 year olds with a 785 score.

Re: Financing rates?

I am no where near 780, actually i am in mid 600's and last evening only Jeep dealership financed my vehicle for 1.90% APR for 60 months. The guy at dealership told that these new rates for 60 months just came out lately. So i had no problem getting approved.

Laredo 4x4 x pkg. They mentioned that 1.90% for 60 months [Chrysler (Ally)/ formerly GMAC] is on all GC trims. This might be regional, i bought it from dealership in Cook County, IL.

Yeah, Laredos have always been 1.9 for 60 months on Jeeps website. However limited and overlands are more.
