Couldn't tell you. Speed limit was 75 and I was right around there for the whole drive. Parts had a fairly significant headwind, some long gradual uphills and most of the drive was above 5,000'.

I was surprised how low it was. Granted, I'm going from my 4" lifted WK so it's all relative.

Must have been one hell of a head wind. Or you left it running during pit stops!.

Re: First long drive with JGC

Majority of our route was 65 though, there's maybe a hundred or so stretch of 75 going to Flagstaff.

Re: First long drive with JGC

I routinely get 23-25mpg on a routine 450mile monthly trip and have been close to 26mpg a couple times. This is with both the evic and by hand calc. Speeds typically range between 65-75mph.

Re: First long drive with JGC

Off-topic, but ajs800, I notice you've got a Traverse. Can I ask what your thoughts are on it compared to the JGC and vice versa? How does the JGC drive, handle, accelerate, etc., in comparison and which do you like better? (Feel free to answer in PM if you prefer.)

EDIT: Ha ha, nevermind -- you already answered my question on another forum. I didn't recognize your username at first.

I just finished 1700 miles with a V8 from Texas to New England. I tended to use ACC, and have it set at 80 most of the way. It returned about 19 mpg over the whole trip.

Just got back from another trip, this time about 880 miles. Lower rate this time at 23.0 mpg. The terrain is a little bit different from AZ to San Diego.

Re: First long drive with JGC

I take my first long trip with mine in a few days. About 400 miles. Looking forward to seeing how well it does on gas. I am at 6300 miles and get 20-22 (hand calculated) on every tank mixed city.hwy since I have had it. Ive had Yj, Xjs, ZJs, WJs,WK1.... none ever got me over 20 mpg. Very happy with my Pentastar WK2. Had the Hemi in my last Jeep, 06 WK and hated the transmission, droning and shudder.

Nice Man! I just moved from Chicago to Denver and averaged 23mpg (V6). I feel you with making a solid purchase!
