Hi everybody,
Just came back from a weekend at the sand dunes, this is the same place where one of the Dakar stages is held, great place, great experience, hope you like the pics.
Here I am taking air off, pressure used was 20 PSI, I also took off the froont lower fascia, I'm glad I did it or for sure the pieces would have been all over the place.
In the dunes...having fun..
The Grand Cherokee performed extremely well, and I had no previous experience in the sand, running stock tires.
Great time running down some big sand dunes..
Going down..and getting ready for a small river in front of us...
Water was quite deep..but no issues at all, low gear, 1st and 2nd., going slow and it was just smoth croossing.
As you can see...the some dunes were really big, you had to be carefull not to let your truck go sideways or you might end up rolling over..
Another angle just to show the place...I'm right on top getting ready to start my descent.
Last one for now...
All I can is that I was very happy before...now...after 2 days of trying the 4x4 benefits, and experiencing some of the things it can do...I'm even more thrilled than ever.
It took me a little over 3 hours to wash the engine, chasis and get rid of all the sand, but it was worth it every minute and cant wait to go back again, in the meantime I'm back to my city driving enjoying my super nice clean JGC.
Rgds.
