First Rain, Great Wipers, Water Splash Noise?

Had the first substantial rain in Colorado front range since late March when we got the 2012 GC Ltd. The rain sensing wipers are just great! However, there is a lot of noise coming in when hitting deeper pools/puddles of water on the road (water that collects in the road's tire grooves). Not sure if it is the plastic wheel well rim guards, fender wells, or the chrome side steps that I added. No way to test this. Has anyone else noticed this? Good thing we don't get much rain in Colorado!

Re: First Rain, Great Wipers, Water Splash Noise?

Rain? Ha. Our GC (purchased in early March this year) lives in Oregon just south of Portland and the rain sensing wipers are great. They have to be, and i think about half of the miles on the car have been in steady rain or downpour. Didn't notice the noise you mention. I gotta say that the only wiper issue for me is the rear wiper switch takes some dexterity to use. At any rate I'll listen for the noise next time it rains, which won't be too long.

I believe that it is the side steps. Same sound on mine.
