First Tank of Gas /Fuel Efficiency

So just wondering if your first tank of gas in the new 2012 wk2 3.6l seemed to go quick?

Does the mileage improve as the car is broken in?

Re: First Tank of Gas /Fuel Efficiency

You would normally notice a slight mileage improvement after break-in during warmer weather, but using the winter-blended gas combined with the colder temperatures and your fuel economy will drop around 10%.

Re: First Tank of Gas /Fuel Efficiency

Drove last week from Pa to Sc. Got 23 average with 4000 miles on it. I probably averaged 65-75 mph the entire trip.

Re: First Tank of Gas /Fuel Efficiency

Last winter was my fisrt season with my jeep, bought it in Oct 2010, I got around 14.5 mpg during the winter months, this past summer I was getting around 16mpg. Now with the cold and winter blend, I am again getting 14.5mpg and I have 5500 miles on it. Mostly suburban driving.

Re: First Tank of Gas /Fuel Efficiency

If this helps;

Rented a V6 WK2 a couple weeks ago in Portland, OR. Took it up to Mt Hood for the "snow test" . Took it out to the coast and all the while shifting and flooring it and got 20 MPG . Very impressed with the power and MPG's. Rental Jeep had 10,000 miles on it.
