I believe it is for fleet vehicles. My 4x2 overland has it and it is my company vehicle ordered through a fleet mgt company. I've seen 4x4's with it too. It's just plain ugly and takes attention away from the overland badge. What's the best way to remove it?

Put an ice pack on the badge, hold for 2 minutes. Take a trim tool with a soft cloth on the tip, or a real small fishing line and pry it off. This is also a very clean way of doing it.. It cuts out the residue left behind from the adhesive.

Re: Flex Fuel Badge

My '12 didn't have one either. I get the feeling "they" are phasing it out, there does not seem to be an E85 station any longer and the 3.2 in the Cherokee appears to be gasoline only.

Re: Flex Fuel Badge

Huh, I wonder if having one of those badges would stop the people from scowling at me when I park my Hemi in the "Hybrid Only" Parking spots....

+1... what he said. Most of the enthusiasts on this board actually de-badge, and prefer less clutter on our cars, not more. ESPECIALLY when it says something so ridiculous as a fuel type.

Forgot to mention mine is a 2014 that was built in Dec so they aren't facing out. Makes by badass black Jeep look like a big sissy with that badge. I'll try the ice pack. Thanks for the tip!

Oh, yessir! I see you are from WV? You must know what sillyness goes on here in Northern Virginia. Harris Teeter (grocery store) has them all over. The thing that kills me is that the spots are painted green! I find it hard to believe that any outdoor asphalt paint is environmentally friendly!

Interesting. If you check out the diesel subforum I think you might find a different story. For example, I debadged my front "Jeep" badge from the hood and the "Summit" badge from the rear. I left the 4x4 and Ecodiesel badges on.

More on topic: I used the cold method to remove the badges. Didn't bother with an ice pack because it was about 10 F out. It worked great: I just pried them off with my fingers/ and an old credit card. I used a little Goo Gone for the slight residue left. Some of that residue may be due to the fact I wasn't as sudden/violent with the removal as the YouTube videos suggested. Meh... I would do it the same way again.

Additionally, the adhesive on my badges didn't appear to be damaged during the removal, so I'm guessing someone could reposition a badge (or replace it) if they change their mind. I just stored mine in Saran wrap.

Got that flex badge off with a hair dryer and pulled the edge up with some fishing line. Was able to peel it off from there. It was flexible and left hardly any residue. Here's my new badge on my V6. Was going to put this on my dakota back in the day but never got around to it LOL!!!
