FOBIK Programming

I'm new to the Forum, so if I'm violating any rules I apologize in advance.

I have a new Laredo X (with Off Road II and an aftermarket sunroof). I'm loving this thing. But I valet park and need a third key. (And yes I valet park AND need Quadra Lift -- I have a unique lifestyle).

I went the ebay route and bought a brand new key that came with programming instructions (they require two functional keys -- which I have). Unfortunately, those instructions don't seem to work. Googling only reveals the same instructions.

The manual has no information on the topic (except something about visiting your dealer).

Do the new Grand Cherokees allow customer programming of new keys (as older Jeeps did)? Or has this been deprecated?

Thanks for a great resource. Love reading everyone's comments and the info here helped drive my decision to buy.

Re: FOBIK Programming

It seems that the customer can't make more keys. That's a shame.
