Foglight bezel replacement

Hi I need a little help with the foglight bezel replacement. I'am trying to change the chrome ones out for the gloss black ones. I tried to remove the chrome ones for an hour today with no luck and gave up. As it seems to be a little more involved than I thought. I was trying to do this in the blind as I just reached up under the wheelwell liner and felt my way around. It seems that in addition to the 2 clips there are 2 screws in the 2 upper corners. That's when I decided to give up and ask for advice. I think I need to pull the whole front of the liner open to get a good look at the situation. Are the 2 clips that hold the fender wheelwell molding removable as they seem to be different than all the other clips as they have a little hole in the middle of them. I did try to pop them but I didn't want to force them to much. So if anyone has done this swap and could help me out with some directions or tips I would surely appreciate it. BTW this is for a 2015 Overland. Thanks for any help.

From when I swapped out my headlights for the SRT ones on my first GC, I would say you have to remove the bumper to do that. Not too complicated, took me like 10 minutes to do it.

I swapped mine out back in 2010 so I can't remember all the details but it was straight forward and did not require removal of the bumper. Mine came with instructions which unfortunately I don't have. I remember using a spatula to pry it. Use masking tape to protect the paint.
I went from black to chrome.
