Re: For those of you with an 8 speed on the V6

You'll probably have no more luck with this than owners of 93 through early-02 GC's had with the defective brake rotor issue. And there was plenty of bitching about that.

Yea I don't see them getting this worked out. I think it will always be an issue but hopefully I'm wrong.

I also have a later build overland v6 (12/13). Shifting was a little rough when slowing down at first, but it seems to have learned (or maybe I got used to it). I did take it into the dealer for mud flaps and also asked them to perform the TSB because "my shifting was awful". Three days later I went to pick it up and they had excuses why they couldn't do the update and even tried to tell me the update wasn't anything they could do the jeep just needed time to learn. Amazing a dealership will lie to your face. I was in a hurry so took it and said ill bring it back with a print out of the TSB for you. That was a few weeks ago, my shifting is really fine from what I can tell so I am not going to waste my time at this point. Next time I take it in I will bring it up again though for sure. Maybe the later build dates already have some of the software updates who knows.
