If only this was possible, I would do it in an instant. 6.4L complete with QD and QL is exactly the remedy to fix those occasional blues on the road. Getting a Jeep minus the boy racer/track demon hype of the SRT was my primary reason for getting the Summit. I loved the slightly upgraded luxury and have received a number of compliments and looks even when parking at my golf club. The chrome is slightly much, but is not overbearing. It looks rather majestic in some ways and a friend of mine even said that the front look is Lion-like, especially with the newer headlights and grill. Like you, the 4x4 with a true V8 motor is the way to go for me. This is my first 4x4 and I never considered owning any one other than a Jeep. Hopefully your sister can figure out which one she likes- a test drive (with both engine options) on a familiar route she normally takes will give her a better idea in a typical daily commute.

So the v8 would be more of a functional help vs just wanting it. Quadra Drive that cant be had on the HA v6/v8 would also be a v8 Summit advantage on snowy mountain roads or muddy camping trails. In her situation the v8 could be a functional help not necessarily a requirement though. Just having general power she doesn't care about as much but wants the one that will do the best job for her. If it was going to be used as an A to B Soccer Mom car there would not be much of a decision and she would be getting the v6 but for her purposes she could get some functional use out of the V8. I think either will work for her but its not as cut and dry of a decision for her purposes. I'm going to encourage her to take both on extended test drives and then pick one. Thanks for your insight on it.
I was leaning towards the HA myself. It finally tipped me over today.

That looks great! How do you like it? I like the Granite. So are you adapting to the stop start or turning it off?

Sweet Interesting that the Grand Cherokee lettering matches the wheels!

I like it! It looks a lot better in person than in pictures. I like how the trivalent black chrome changes in various light. The wheels will be a beotch to keep clean but they seem to have larger openings between the spokes than the standard Overland wheel, so that should make it easier to wash inside the wheels.

I didn't drive it much other than bringing it home. Had the ESS on to try it. It's a lot better than I thought it would be... it starts back up really quick. You hardly even notice it. I can see situations where I'd use it and turn it off.

The Harman-Kardon is really nice too.

I have to agree with others... I don't know why they kept the standard chrome window trim. It should have been black, or at least they should've went with the trivalent black chrome to match the rest of the vehicle.

MDbones,
No way man, the High Altitude black wheels are sooooooo easy to keep clean. I mean I guess they start to show dust pretty easily, but being such a clean and simple painted wheel they are very easy. I love them!!
Congrats on the HA I love it!

LOL... that's what I meant, that they'll show brake dust and crap easily but the spoke gaps should allow easier access for cleaning.

Yeah I was thrilled when I got my HA over the Summit as that thing has a ton of spokes to clean and was all around just a pain. Cleaning these HA wheel is a piece of cake compared to the Summit split spokes.
Love the Granite HA.
