You forgot the "yo VTEC" sticker, cut springs, Rustolium primered black wheels, the metioned 1" exhaust into 7" fart can with 5" polished tip, fluorescent orange or green shift knob, matching cluster and center stack etc

Thank god around here most of em blew up or rusted out in short order. LOL

One other thing I didn't mention is I will probably only put about 4000 miles per year on it, which equates to maybe 2 more fuel-ups per year... not that Hemi people are really worried about fuel consumption, but still a small factor.

Don't forget the special aftermarket electronic package that raises the shift points to 25,000 RPM for that screaming rice rocket sound. This also raises the idle to 5,000 RPM at stoplights, so you'll think it's actually as fast as it sounds. I believe these packages also come with the white rear window decal of the kid pissing on something or other.

Oooh, I forgot about those! Also, the painted calipers and valve cover. Can't forget about those.

We're forgetting the most important things of all. The cracked fiberglass body kit and the holy grail...The Almighty Wing!

Re: For those who drive a Hemi 5.7

I drove a Rubicon with 37's before the GC. So glad I went with the Hemi. Not what I would consider fast but just enough passing power to make it fun.

Re: For those who drive a Hemi 5.7

It all depends on what you prefer. I recently test drove a 2015 limited with the 5.7 equipped while waiting on my 2014. I enjoyed it for sure, and I can tell the difference in power delivery. Eco mode is just not for me on either engine, but I will say that I didn't feel the need to switch the v8 into sport mode..only a strong burning desire.

But hopping into my V6 later that day was not an issue. I drive in sport mode often. And I do this because I feel that the roads are only getting more unpredictable, and in sport mode I feel that I understand the vehicle's tendencies better. The engine seems free to accelerate and decelerate with traffic in a way that maintains my safety bubble. Is my Grand Cherokee fast?

Not at all. But something about the way it accelerates and handles in S just works for me. My verdict? I would absolutely opt for the V8 if it was a choice. As a young guy in college, I was already worried walking into a dealership to get a $30,000 base model SUV.
But that's just me. If I were in the market for another Grand Cherokee with a higher trim, it would have the 5.7 under the hood.

Re: For those who drive a Hemi 5.7

I picked the Hemi even though people said it gets awful gas mileage. I drove a Rubicon with 37's and 4.10 gears. 14 was max. I'm averaging 16-17 with the Hemi so its like the Hemi is making me money.

Re: For those who drive a Hemi 5.7

The hemi gas mileage really isn't that bad. I have a 2011 RAM crew with the hemi (and the older 5 speed transmission) and I routinely get 18-19mpg on the freeway at 80mph. On one trip to Oregon (oppressive 55mph speed limit that is vigorously enforced) I averaged around 23mpg. That's with a bigger/heavier truck, less gears, and older engine software.

My feeling is that if you think you want more power, and can afford the extra 3k to get the Hemi; do so. Nobody ever had regrets over getting what they wanted, only about compromising.
