Re: For those who got $6500+ off MSRP

Seemed good 'til the add-ons were reached. Sounds like they got back your "additional negotiation".

For mine I just told them the out-the-door price I expected for an in-stock vehicle and they met it. Not much fat and about an 11% discount with just the $1k "incentive"..

Sorry for the multiple posts. My iPhone keeps limiting my post.
how did you get the $100 maxcare lifetime for so cheap? even with a $180 coupon code on eservicecontracts and chryslerwarrantys the $0 deductibe 7yr 85k was like $2200 and the cheapest lifetime was $3200.

Re: For those who got $6500+ off MSRP

Somewhere in this thread (or a similar thread) there was a link to a dealership in Baltimore, MD that had great prices on the wk2. I have the link (so I'm not asking for the link, it is Heritage Chrysler in Baltimore), but here are my questions:

My question is - do you think it would be possible for me to use the prices from that site as "ammo" when going to my local dealerships (Denver, CO)?

Would they tell me to F off because it is from Maryland, 1500 miles away?

Should I email them the actual link to those vehicles/prices and ask them to match/beat?

Any comments would be appreciated, first time buying a new car.

Re: For those who got $6500+ off MSRP

turbospartan,

I did all my work via email and ended up getting $6300 off MSRP. First, fill out the edmunds.com (or any website) and requested quotes. Then when I narrowed it down to the Jeep I wanted (surprisingly, all 3 dealers gave me quotes for the exact same Jeep), I took the lowest offer and emailed to other two dealers. Did the same thing and eventually, it was a sales war between 2 dealers. Go Broadway and Go Jeep in Golden were trying to get my sale. Eventually, Go Jeep Broadway gave me the lowest quote and I ended up buying from them.

I have a thread on this forum.. Look for it. I also had the treadlightly 3 yr membership plus I got $1000 off Chrysler discount.

Good luck.

Re: For those who got $6500+ off MSRP

After reading through all the prices-paid threads and what not, I guess I want to ask everyone if they think this would be possible:

2012 Laredo X
- All weather capability
- tow
- NAV

Is it possible to get this thing for around $32-33?

Using True-Car, it looks like the "Market Price" of this vehicle is $36,600.

Using Edmunds, MSRP is $37,205 (which doesn't seem right, every Window Sticker I've seen with these options is closer to $39), Invoice is $35,975 and True Market Value is $35,945

Take off the $1k rebate, and you're at $34,945.

I have a Control Number from my cousin who works at Chrysler in MI, not sure how/if that helps.

Even if Invoice is $35,975 and I use the Tread Lightly 1% under, I'd be at $35,580 and $1k off that = $34,580.

Basically what I'm getting at - is it possible to get a Laredo X with the 3 options I listed above for around $33k? Is that realistic, or am I aiming too low?

Re: For those who got $6500+ off MSRP

turbospartan,

that is exactly what I wanted. X with all weather package (heated seats, quadra trac 2), pano sunroof, tow package and 730 Nav. The price was so close to a limited which has a lot more for about $1000 more... that I ended up getting a Limited. You get rear heated seats, smart headlights, HID, etc etc. I ended up paying $35.5 plus taxes (sticker price was $41300 I think).

You should be able to easily get the X for $34.5k... even less I think. Just tell the sales guys that you are willing to wait for the right Jeep at the right price. And you are in no rush. But, if you seriously want that for a lower price.. tell them you are buying one today and are dealing w/ other dealers as well.

Good luck!

You would have to have significant factory incentives.

Re: For those who got $6500+ off MSRP

So I just bought a Summit last week and today just got a $1000 customer cash in the mail today that says it can be stacked with other rebates and preferred pricing.

There is no way I could get that applied retro and not even bother trying with dealer right? Such bad timing!

Re: For those who got $6500+ off MSRP

Maybe I'm being foolish, but read this and currently negotiating on a new Jeep Limited. Driving myself crazy trying to meet the $6500 MSRP target.

Currently at a $4800 discount before TTL.

I keep telling the dealer the 2013's are on the way.....do you want to get rid of your year old vehicles (2012's)?

How do I squeeze the last $2k from them? Maybe I should tell them I want exactly another $2,012 off before I sign? Snickers.

Re: For those who got $6500+ off MSRP

So I too am wondering how to "push" for more $ off. I used an Employee Discount code and I have 3 dealerships that have given me the exact same price. 2 of them tried to add in additional admin fees and handling fees, but I told them the other dealer didn't have these so they knocked them off.

So all 3 are at the same price on a 2012 Altitude (2 exact same vehicles on 2 different lots, 3 dealers total with one of the dealers not having the vehicle on their lot - they'd scoop it up from underneath one of the other dealers).

How should I proceed? Should I say something to the effect of "Are there any other additional incentives to buy this 2012, since the 2013's are on the way"? Or should I just say "I have 3 dealerships all offering the same exact amount, if you can beat that price, I'll buy from you."

Thoughts?

You've done well so far. Why not squeeze them for some "stuff". The cost is reduced to wholesale for them... maintenance package, accessories, upgrades.
