To be fair, the asterisks mean there is less than 3 years of data, meaning they are newly launched vehicles.

Re: FORD! Kickin' a$$ and takin' names! NOOOOOOT!!!

I have to say my other car is a 2006 Ford Focus XR5 and it has been virtually faultless in the 7 years I have had it. In fact I have had to take the WK2 back to the dealer more times in the 12 months I've owned it than I have for the entire 7 years of Focus ownership. In defence of the WK2, most of the items with fault don't exist on the Focus eg. ACC, sunroof, air suspension, 4WD, but what the Focus does have is reliable.
I love the Jeep too, but it can be testing, especially in Aust where spare parts supply is ridiculously bad.

Not to be a dick, but you have no idea how CR interprets their data collected from the owners. Your post was pure speculation and biased against the company. Like I've said before, I sure as hell trust CR more than any other "source" when it comes to product review.

And not to jump on the Ford bandwagaon, but I've owned a few Fords in my lifetime (Escort GT, Taurus, Explorer, Mustang), and ALL were more problem free than my 2014 GC has been. In my book, a Chrysler owner saying Fords are unrealiable is the pot calling the kettle black.

Let me guess, your problems are primarily with U connect? This is my point. Chrysler has fixed most of the issues with U connect, yet most Jeep owners are not running the most up to date software.

Step away from the CR magazine. I've had many Fords, and not a problem with any of them. I had to have my torque converter replaced on my Jeep after 20 months. Most of the complaints they have are with MFT. Magazines are entertainment.

I guess you haven't read any of my past posts complaining of issues. This is what I've had to deal with so far since purchasing my new 2014 GC Limited V6 4x4:

1) ABS CEL while driving my new GC off the lot - Dealership replaced module

2) Rough shifting transmission - From day one, multiple reflashes & battery disconnects, and trips to the dealership to fix. Finally after over 6,000 miles it shifts smoothly...for now.

3) Drivers seatback popped off - Dealership replaced with new part

4) Vibration at highway speeds - Tires rotated & balanced at dealership

5) Clunking in rear suspension - I have the Trailor pkg, new replacement shocks on back order, still clunks over bumps to this day

6) Inaccurate temperature reading - From day one. Still waiting for a fix

And yes I've had 8.4A radio issues & reflashes as well. My climate system STILL shuts its self off everytime I remote start the vehicle and get in.

Not to any degree greater than a bias in favor of the company. Their methodology and data gathering techniques are questionable at best when it comes to automobiles.

Still the most unbiased source out there...WAY better than JD Power.

I am not a Ford lover or hater. I owned both a Mustang and an Explorer and they were both very good cars. Loved the Mustang especially. Nothin unusual repair wise on either of them.

Support this assertion with some specifics, or can it.
