I checked out the Michelin really quick, those look like good tires. Now granted I haven't done a ton of research on these tires yet, but these are what have caught my eye so far:

- Nitto Terra Grapplers
- Kuhmo Road Venture SAT KL 61
- General Grabber AT2

I'd like to find something a tad bit aggressive, I like the aggressive look But something that will do well in the snow. Granted Alaska doesn't get a lot of snow, but it gets cold here, then it get's warm, then it gets cold again... which = to ice You should see how many vehicles are in the ditch during the winter :O It's unbelievable!!! I don't want to be one of those people!!! I had BFG All Terrain's on my truck and I loved them!!! So we will see, time will tell!
I understand. I chose the Michelin LTX M/S 2's as they are a step up in traction from the Latitudes, but not AT's. All terrains are nice, but the stiffer sidewall of AT's would give me too harsh a ride on the pavement which is where I spend 99% of my time. Some winters we get much snow, so this is good for me.

1 - There are some TSBs out, but the auto trans is not smooth enough for the picky regardless. It seems to work better in sport mode. Did you have the same trany in the truck? This site has a complete TSB list:

2 - Which radio do you have? There is a recent 430 update that fixed a number of issues. If its a 730, you need to set the iPOD touch (I have one) on your play list and shuffle before plugging it in. Patience when you restart the car as it often takes them a minute to sync up and play. If I also have my phone with me, I often need to go to the Aux - device screen and reselect the iPod. Why this $$$ radio can't remember the last device connected... I dunno... On rare occasions, when the iPOD seems to get out of sync, I need to disconnect and reconnect the iPOD to get things going. I'm not doing anything complicated, just playing podcasts from a playlist.

3 - My QL is quiet more or less, there are some here that are noisy. How many times have you cycled it, if I recall is was noisy when I first got the car.

4 - I dunno, I have a rattle in the pasenger headrest.

Tires, if you are worried about Ice and Snow as well as cold weather, have you thought about Blizzaks? They are excellent in cold and icy conditions, perhaps not for warmer (above 60) temps or off road mud. Its a compromise regardless.

$50,000 just doesn't buy you much anymore
