Front grill rings

Guys, for the top down method, how does that plastic shroud come off to get your hands in? I popped the plastic push pins, then I unsnapped it up but it's still connected to the front fascia?

Re: Front grill rings

Not sure I understand your question, but I just took 3 rings off, took some pics for you, hard to see in this lighting, but hope it helps ya...3 little tabs each sides, 2 on top and 2 bottom. Mind you this is from a GC Overland 2014, but my guess it is same for SRT, maybe someone can confirm this...

Re: Front grill rings

The black plastic piece surrounding the hood latch, with it on there is no way to get your hand in

Re: Front grill rings

Ok, those are not the front grill rings! I have not taken that perticular part off, I will try this evening tho, I guess I could go and clean down there! Maybe someone will also chime in on best way to remove this part, I know that it seems to have some hooks underneath...Sorry that I am not much help as of now...

Re: Front grill rings

On my 2011 this is part of the front grill. I've attached an image of my OEM grill after it was removed and a shot from the backside of it. The whole front bumper had to come off to swap the grill out. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1428027687.060174.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1428027703.618652.jpg

Will the chrome piece come off without removing the front bumper? From the pictures, it looks it can come off, although it might a bit difficult to pop those off from the bottom.

Can someone confirm this please? I plan to remove mine and either clean it or plasti-dip it this summer.

Many thanks,
-A
