Re: Front plate options

I have the altec automatic license plate. Folds down and up from the touch of a button. I usually keep it hidden in jersey and if I get near any police I'll put it up remotley lol. Looks real clean.

Yes I went through that exact same experience. This was for a custom factory ordered vehicle!! Even had it in bold writing on the sales contract.......... didn't matter they drilled the front bumper anyway. Refused delivery and purchased at another dealer.

Re: Front plate options

On my CRD that I ordered, I made sure to tell my salesman to not have the front plate installed once I saw it was on it's way. I reiterated that bout 3 more times via email, and sure enough, no front plate. He even had it written on his whiteboard in the office.

I refuse to put a front plate on and if you're not a total dbag to the cop, then they'll just let it go. I carry my extra plate in the trunk on my other car and explain that someone has tried to steal my plate before and so I leave it off.

My state requires front plates, but not having a decent front plate mount that doesn't require screwing it into the front bumper just does seem excessively crass.

How freaking hard would it have been to integrate a bumper colored mount right into
the bumper, where if you don't need a plate it would still look attractive with no plate, or you could put in a motto type plate if desired....

Re: Front plate options

Ha ha! Guess I have one thing to be glad about living in Alabama, no front plates!
