Front Wheel Well Inner Liner Problem

While driving to work today, I noticed a loud rubbing sound when turning my steering wheel to either the left or right. I pulled over and noticed the front wheel well inner liner is "bubbled/deformed", causing the tire to rub whenever the wheel is not straight. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?

Re: Front Wheel Well Inner Liner Problem

I had the same issue with rear my driver's side wheel well. I was able to push the plastic back into place, and it seems to be holding up okay for now.

I tried a few times, but it keeps popping back out. Going to the dealership to get it checked. Thanks though.

Just an update...

According to the service tech at the dealership, there was a "harness" that came loose and pushed down on the wheel well causing it to rub on the tire. The harness was re-secured and everything is good so far.

Re: Front Wheel Well Inner Liner Problem

Thanks for the follow-up -- I'll have to have the dealership check for that the next time I take it in to make sure there aren't any lingering problems. Certainly an odd issue.

Re: Front Wheel Well Inner Liner Problem

I'm not suprised...the fender liners on the 2014 GC are rather flimsy.
