Fuel Door Button

I have accidently opened the fuel door at least three times by bumping it with my knee while getting in. I don't have really long legs and the seat is always back in the easy entry/exit position. I usually discover it after I've buckled the seat belt. Anyone else?

Re: Fuel Door Button

I used to do it all the time too. Like a cold, it went away but I'm not sure how I was doing it.

Not yet, and I have long-ish legs. Can't see how you'd do it.

Re: Fuel Door Button

You guys must have long legs. I'm 5' 10" and I couldn't even do it while trying to do it yesterday. I must have looked like a dork.

Re: Fuel Door Button

Perhaps it's because I don't slide across the seat. I lift up to avoid some issues reported on this forum of getting color dye from jeans on the saddle leather, or wearing it out.

Re: Fuel Door Button

6ft tall and so far have not even come remotely close to hitting that button in the 870 miles I have put on it. Infact, now that I think of it I dont think my legs come anywhere near that button lol. You guys that hit it must have freakisly long legs and/or get in your car in a really awkward way haha :-)

Re: Fuel Door Button

I've done it about three times over the first year of ownership. Not recently though.

Re: Fuel Door Button

Im 6'5" and done it a few times after the shorter wife has driven and I do not adjust the seat. Seems like an afterthought location and button, it just looks out of place.

Re: Fuel Door Button

I have no clue how this is a problem. After reading this thread, I looked at my left kness proximity. I can't even fathom how this could be a fathom no matter how tall you may be.
